Before, the middle class had been shrinking, mostly increasing the ranks of the poor.  Now, the middle-class is growing.  Very few poor or rich are left.

Charity now has a new meaning:

Four give, and four get.

This new information puzzled young Charity.

“But why was I born here, instead of the hospital?”

“I had to have you here.  We’d already picked your name.”

“What do you mean?”

“You know: Charity begins at home.”
